To promote her role in Guardians of the Galaxy II, Elizabeth made an appearance with her castmates, as well as other actors in the Marvel universe.
Other news is that Elizabeth’s character has officially been revealed:
At Marvel Studios’ panel presentation in Hall H for Comic-Con International: San Diego, it was confirmed that actress Elizabeth Debicki (“The Great Gatsby”) will play the cosmic Marvel Comics character Ayesha, AKA Kismet in “Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2.”
Speaking at the panel, Debicki said Ayesha enlists the help of the Guardians before “things go sour” in the film.
Director James Gunn said of Debicki’s character in a Facebook post, “Ayesha is the golden High Priestess of a genetically-perfect people called the Sovereign. She’s not a woman to be screwed with – she, and her entire world, are extraordinarily deadly.”
Usually known in the comics by the name Kismet, Ayesha is a celestial being that was created by a group known as the Enclave, in their second attempt to forge a super-powerful being. With the ability to regenerate and manipulate cosmic energy, Ayesha often uses her powers for flight, and to conjure force bolts for attack. Essentially, Ayesha is immortal.
I have added some HQ images to the gallery, however I shall be adding more!
