Elizabeth Debicki was born in Paris, France on the 24th August, 1990 and when she was 5 years old, she relocated to Melbourne, Australia with her parents, younger sister and brother. Elizabeth is the oldest of her siblings.

Before her career as an actress, Elizabeth had a keen interest in Ballet however after a while she decided to transition to working in theatre as a full time career. Her education included attending Huntingtower School in Melbourne where she graduated in 2007. Her next step education wise came when she completed her Drama degree at  University of Melbourne’s Victorian College of the Arts.

Elizabeth’s first film appearance on screen was a small role as Maureen in the 2011 movie, A Few Best Men. The same year, she was announced as being part of the cast of the Baz Luhrmann movie adaption, The Great Gatsby. Her character was the vivacious Jordan Baker.

Other projects in 2013 included a role in the short movie, Gödel Incomplete as well as a theatre turn alongside Cate Blanchett in The Maids. Because of this role, she won a Sydney Theatre Award for Best Newcomer. Throughout 2014, Elizabeth was busy filming upcoming features, including The Kettering Incident (airing on screens in 2016), though she did appear in one episode of the Australian show, Rake.

2015 brought a very successful and busy year for Elizabeth. With the release of Macbeth, The Man from U.N.C.L.E. and Everest, she was firmly establishing herself in the Hollywood scene.

Also in 2015, Elizabeth was announced for the role of Jed Marshall in the BBC/AMC TV Mini Series adaption of The Night Manager, co-starring Hugh Laurie who played her lover Richard Roper, and Tom Hiddleston as Jonathan Pine. The series aired and concluded on both UK television in 2016.

Even in 2016, Elizabeth shows no signs of stopping as she has now been announced for a number of new projects, to be released in 2016/2017. These include The Tale (post-production), Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 (currently filming), Breath (currently filming) and God Particle (pre-production).
