A small review of Elizabeth’s new play, The Red Barn, was featured in the UK newspaper, Metro. Elizabeth’s character also appeared on the front cover. I have added PDF’s of this newspaper to the gallery. Please give credit if uploaded elsewhere.

The following are snippets of reviews posted online.
The Australian actor has won warm praise for her “enigmatic” performance in David Hare’s new play The Red Barn.
Elizabeth Debicki, the exciting young Australian actor who first came to prominence as Jordan Baker in Baz Luhrmann’s 2013 film The Great Gatsby, has won critical praise for her performance in David Hare’s new play The Red Barn at the Lyttelton Theatre, Royal National Theatre in London.
The acting is also brilliantly sophisticated. The cast give subtle, chilling performances which constantly have you guessing their motives, unsure of what they might do next. Mark Strong plays Donald Dodd, a Connecticut lawyer, whose old friend, Ray Sanders, died after the two men and their wives were caught in a snow storm on the way back from a New Year’s Eve party.
A fan was also lucky enough to meet Elizabeth at the afterparty:
Elizabeth shall be starring in an upcoming Theatre production titled ‘The Red Barn’ in the Lyttelton Theatre, London. The play itself also stars Mark Strong, Hope Davis, Michael Elwyn, Stuart Milligan, Anna Skellern, Oliver Wilson, Nigel Whitmey and Jade Yourell.
The synopsis is as follows:
The great detective writer Georges Simenon escaped France at the end of World War Two, and arrived in the USA to start again. With his American wife, he settled at Shadow Rock Farm in Lakeville, Connecticut. Years later, he wrote La Main, a psychological thriller set in a New England farmhouse.
David Hare has taken this novel and forged from it a startling new play that unfolds in Connecticut in 1969. On their way back from a party, two couples struggle home through the snow. Not everyone arrives safely.
The Red Barn opens on the 6th October and continues through until the 17th January. General booking sales begin on the 29th September, and you can follow this link to bookmark tickets now, however most days are already sold out!
